很多父母都有疑问：“怎么样才能从小培养孩子独立阅读英语读物的能力？” 让孩子先背很多的单词？还是先掌握语法与句子结构？
其实都不是！
事实上，在中国孩子早期英语启蒙教育中，有一个重要的概念Sight Words（常见词）时常被家长与老师们忽略。而SightWords却正是帮助孩子提高自主阅读能力的基石。
Sight (视觉) Words（词汇），顾名思义，就是"一看就应该知道意思"的英语常见词。
这些词往往看起来非常简单，数量也不多（见下方常见词列表），可是由于Sight Words的应用常常不遵循英语拼读的普遍规则，而且含义又比较抽象，很难简单地给出相应的中文词义，因此幼儿与初学英语的孩子不容易掌握。比如and，in，not等常见词，就不像apple，water，boy能够用简单的图片或语言来描述，让宝宝完全理解。
那么为什么掌握Sight Words能让孩子的英语阅读轻松许多？
根据北美教育学家对儿童读物与日常用语的系统分析， Sight Words在阅读材料中占有50%甚至70%的比例。掌握了它们，就意味着在阅读中有50%以上的单词都已经认识。同时，配合适宜难度的书目练习，就能极大地提高孩子的阅读速度，以及对阅读内容的理解程度。
在很多以英语为母语的国家，孩子们从小就会学习这些常用词。在美国， Sight Words是儿童学前与小学教育中明确规定必须学习的一个部分。而在中国，SightWords在儿童早期英语教学中却往往缺失。
那么常见词SightWords究竟是哪些词汇呢？
被称为“The Father of Sight Words”的常见词研究奠基人、美国学者EdwardWilliam Dolch博士早在1948年就整理出了目前最为广泛使用的常见词列表。一共包括220个单词，分为5级。这份列表也常常被称为DolchWord Lists，是初级英语学习的重要基础。
需要说明的是，这220个常见词中包括形容词、动词、连词、介词、代词和副词，但却不包括名词。由于名词更容易推陈出新，Dolch博士又特别研究整理了一份包含95个名词的补充常见词表。
以下就是我为大家整理的220词Dolch Word Lists以及95词名词表。
1. 220词Dolch Word Lists

查了很多英文文献，貌似对于这个95个名词孩子应该在什么年龄段来学习并没有明确的建议。总体来说，学前至小学的孩子都是适用的。我个人的建议是大家根据孩子的学习兴趣和进度合理安排即可。
